About the Firm

A structured approach to U.S.–Brazil business

Entering the Brazilian market involves more than a commercial decision. Regulatory requirements, contracts, documentation, compliance obligations, deadlines, and responsibilities all need to be identified — ideally before an agreement is signed.

Pereira do Amaral Legal Advisors is a legal consulting firm based in Orlando, Florida, focused on the Brazilian requirements that arise in U.S.–Brazil business relationships. We help U.S. companies turn those requirements into a clear, documented process their own teams can follow.

The result is a record your company owns: each requirement, its source, the person responsible, and the deadline.

For each business relationship, we help you establish

  • What must be done
  • Why it must be done
  • What documentation is required
  • Who is responsible
  • Which deadlines apply
  • What requires specialized review
  • How obligations will be monitored over time

Our Services

Four components of one documented process

Each engagement is built around a specific U.S.–Brazil business relationship. The components work together — from the entry decision to the routine your team maintains after delivery.

  1. Brazil Market Entry Roadmap

A documented roadmap for a specific business relationship with Brazil. We map the applicable requirements, link each one to its source, supporting evidence, and responsible party, and organize the decisions to be made before you commit.

    • Requirements and evidence matrix
    • Documentation checklist
    • Decision roadmap
    • Regulatory considerations, where applicable
  2. Procedural Controls & Dispute Prevention

Controls that keep the relationship on track after the entry decision. Deadlines, documents, and open issues stay visible and assigned — and disagreements follow a defined escalation path before they become disputes.

    • Deadline tracking
    • Document controls
    • Review workflow
    • Escalation protocol
  3. Contracts, Compliance & Data Protection

A matrix of the Brazilian contractual and compliance obligations that apply to the relationship, including data protection under the LGPD, Brazil’s General Data Protection Law. Matters that require specialized technical review are referred to qualified professionals, with our founder coordinating their review.

    • Contractual obligations
    • Compliance requirements
    • Data protection (LGPD)
    • Specialized review where necessary
  4. Implementation & Team Training

The tools are handed over to your team. Operating instructions, templates, and a guided exercise are designed so your people can maintain the process — and recognize when to consult a qualified professional.

    • Workflow templates
    • Assigned responsibilities

U.S.–Brazil Business

Connecting U.S. business strategy with Brazilian requirements

A U.S. company considering Brazil rarely lacks information. Guidance comes from lawyers, accountants, government resources, prospective partners, and internal teams — each with its own perspective.

The challenge is turning that guidance into an organized decision-making process.

Pereira do Amaral structures that transition, so decisions about Brazil rest on one clear record instead of scattered emails and conversations.

  1. United States

Your company and its business objective

  2. 1. Assessment

Scope of the relationship, available documents, and dependencies

  3. 2. Requirements

Each requirement linked to its source and its owner

  4. 3. Documentation

Checklists, supporting evidence, and deadlines on record

  5. 4. Specialized review

Contractual, compliance, and tax questions referred to qualified professionals

  6. 5. Implementation

Controls applied to the live business relationship

  7. Brazil

    Your partner, institution, or market

When to engage us

  • You plan to offer educational products or services to Brazilian institutions or partners and need to know what the relationship requires.
  • You already work with a partner in Brazil and need to formalize the obligations of that relationship.
  • You are preparing a contract or partnership and need to verify Brazilian requirements before signing.

How We Work

A disciplined, four-stage method

Every engagement follows the same sequence. We move forward only when the requirement, its supporting evidence, the person responsible, and the validation have been identified.

  1. 1. Diagnose

Understand the proposed U.S.–Brazil business relationship and identify the applicable requirements, documentation, responsibilities, and dependencies.

  2. 2. Structure

Organize responsibilities, evidence, deadlines, controls, and the points that require specialized review.

  3. 3. Implement

Apply the roadmap and controls to the business relationship, and test the records with your team.

  4. 4. Transfer

Give your team the guidance, templates, and practice needed to maintain the process after delivery.

Quality control at three levels

  • Scope and responsibility

Before any validation, we confirm the qualifications and jurisdiction of the professional responsible for it. U.S. legal or tax matters are referred to appropriately licensed U.S. professionals.

  • Evidence and traceability

Every requirement is linked to its source, document, owner, and deadline. Gaps are flagged and revisions are recorded.

  • Use and follow-up

We confirm that your team understands and uses the tools, and adjust them based on how they work in practice.

Meet the Founder

Daniela Gomes Pereira do Amaral

Founder & CEO

Daniela brings more than two decades of experience across law, higher education, academic administration, dispute resolution, and institutional processes. A member of the Brazilian Bar Association since 2009, she holds a master’s degree in Justice, Business, and Sustainability, with a thesis on consensual conflict resolution, and a specialization in Civil Law and Civil Procedure.

At Universidade Nove de Julho (UNINOVE), she supervised the drafting of legal documents and the management of procedural deadlines at the Legal Practice Center, the law school’s legal clinic, where she helped develop controls for deadlines, official publications, and documentation. She also served as a conciliator and mediator at the Advanced Judicial Assistance Unit. As Coordinator of Legal Practice for the law program at the Vila Maria campus, she oversaw academic and administrative routines, institutional evaluations, and the program’s regulatory organization. As a law professor, she also taught personal data protection.

That combination — legal training focused on resolving disputes by agreement, hands-on control of deadlines and documents, and the coordination of institutional routines — is the foundation of the firm’s methodology.

Education Sector

Specialized insight for the education sector

Our initial focus is on U.S. education companies and service providers that are establishing commercial relationships with Brazilian institutions and partners.

These relationships bring together requirements of different kinds. A requirement missed at the entry decision tends to resurface later — in the contract, in the timeline, and in the partnership itself.

Daniela’s years coordinating the regulatory and administrative organization of a university law program inform how we approach this sector.

Considerations we organize

  • Regulatory requirements for educational activities in Brazil, where applicable
  • Agreements with Brazilian institutions and partners
  • Protection of student and employee data under the LGPD
  • Administrative routines, documents, and deadlines

The same method can be applied to other U.S. companies preparing a comparable business relationship with Brazil.
